Head Motocross Coach at Texas Tornado MX USMCA- Certified Motocross Coach Born and raised in Houston, Texas Vann Martin has dedicated his life to motocross. He started riding at just 3 years old and began racing competitively at 8. After rising through the amateur ranks, Vann won the 2011 Loretta Lynn's Amateur National Championship in the Collegeboy 17-24 A/B class. Vann turned professional in 2012 and spent nearly a decade competing in professional Motocross and Supercross while also coaching riders along the way. After a back injury ended his professional racing career in 2022, he shifted his focus to developing the next generation of motocross riders at Texas Tornado MX. As a USMCA-certified motocross coach, Vann provides motocross training for riders of all ages and skill levels in the Houston, Texas area-from first-time riders learning proper fundamentals to competitive racers looking to improve speed, technique, consistency and race-day performance.
